ZLB series axial flow pump is suitable for conveying clean water or other liquids with physical and chemical properties similar to water, and the temperature of the conveyed liquid does not exceed 50 ℃.
This type of pump is a high flow, low head pump. It can be used for farmland irrigation, seawater salt production, seawater aquaculture, industrial thermal power plant transportation of circulating water, urban water supply and drainage, cabin lifting water and other water conservancy projects, with a wide range of applications.
This type of pump adopts a vertical structure and is equipped with a vertical motor. Its blades are semi adjustable. When the performance of the pump needs to be adjusted due to changes in operating conditions, simply remove the impeller, adjust the angle of the blades as needed, and then reinstall them, which is very convenient. When the pump leaves the factory, if there are no special requirements from the user, the blade installation angle is always 0 °.
This type of pump mainly consists of a pump body and a transmission part.
The pump body is composed of an inlet horn, impeller chamber, guide vane body, impeller, pump shaft, rubber bearings, seal, and outlet bend.
The impeller is composed of blades, impeller seat, moving blade head and other parts. The impeller seat is used to install the blades and is connected to the pump shaft with a key. The blade material is nodular graphite, and copper and stainless steel can also be used as needed.
The water outlet bend and guide vane are equipped with rubber bearings lubricated with water, which provide radial support.
The pump shaft is supported by two rubber bearings on top and bottom. During the operation of the pump, the flowing water inside the pump provides good lubrication for these two bearings. The rubber bearing at the upper end of the pump shaft is usually higher than the water surface, so a short pipe is installed on the packing box to deliver clean water to the rubber bearing for lubrication before starting. The water supply can only be stopped after the pump starts to discharge water. The pump shaft neck is fitted with a stainless steel sleeve to enhance corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and can be replaced after wear.
A packing seal is used at the outlet bend shaft hole, consisting of a packing box, packing, and packing cover.
Looking down from the pump coupling end, the rotation direction of the pump is clockwise.
The transmission part adopts a vertical electric motor for direct transmission. The motor is installed on the motor base, and the upper end of the transmission shaft is connected to the motor through an elastic coupling, while the lower end is connected to the pump through a rigid coupling.
When the pump is running, all axial forces are borne by the thrust bearings inside the transmission device. The axial displacement of the pump shaft can be adjusted using the left screw nut inside the transmission device. The axial force of the pump, the weight of the transmission device and the motor are borne by the floor foundation supporting the transmission device.
The length of the transmission shaft must be used within the "L" size range specified in the installation outline drawing. The outlet pipeline generally adopts a straight pipe type outlet pipe, with an outlet valve installed at the end. The door cover in the outlet valve is best balanced with a pulley hammer to reduce the outlet resistance.

(1) Installation:
1. Preparation before installation:
(1) Check the water pump body, transmission device, and motor for any damage. If the pump shaft and transmission shaft are bent, they must be straightened.
(2) Tools and lifting machinery should be complete.
(3) Refer to the installation dimension diagram and check the pump foundation and inlet pipeline to ensure they meet the installation requirements.
(4) Due to the significant impact of the structure of the inlet pool and the arrangement of several pumps in the same inlet pool on the performance of the pumps, the following points must be noted:
① The impeller should have sufficient submergence depth.
② Maintain the required distance between the pump horn and the bottom of the pool.
③ The water flow enters the pump uniformly without any vortex.
④ Several pumps operating in the same pool should not cause disturbance.
⑤ A trash rack must be installed before entering the water tank, and the flow velocity passing through the trash rack should not exceed 0.3 meters per second.
2. Installation
(1) Adjust the blade installation angle on the impeller components according to the usage situation, so that the installation angles of each blade are consistent and there should be no looseness.
(2) Use a spirit level to calibrate the levelness of the pump base, pour cement slurry, and check the levelness after the cement solidifies.
(3) The pump shaft and transmission shaft must be installed on the same vertical line, with a tolerance of less than 0.04 millimeters per meter. Make the gap between the outer circle of the blade and the outer shell of the impeller chamber uniform along the circumference.
(4) After installation, check whether the nuts of each coupling and foundation screw are tightened.
3. Connection between pump and motor:
(1) The elevation center position of the motor and transmission device should be determined according to the elevation center position of the installed pump.
(2) The rotation direction of the motor should be consistent with the rotation direction of the pump.
(3) After the flange surface of the rigid coupling is closed, the bolts should be tightened evenly to prevent uneven tightening from causing tilting. The flange joint surface should be checked using a transparent method or a feeler gauge, and there should be no gaps.
4. Installation of water outlet pipe
(1) The outlet pipeline should be equipped with additional brackets and should not be supported by the pump body.
(2) A diffusion pipe should be installed between the pump outlet bend and the outlet valve. Its length shall not be less than five times the difference in diameter between the size and mouth of the diffusion tube.
(3) It is best to hang a balance hammer on the outlet valve to balance the weight of the valve.
(2) Start and Stop
(1) Before starting the pump, clean water should be injected into the upper connecting pipe of the packing box as required.
(2) After the trial operation of the pump, check that all connection parts are not loose.
(3) If abnormal sounds and vibrations occur during operation, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection and elimination.
(4) After shutting down during the freezing season, the impeller should not be immersed in water to avoid freezing and damaging the parts.
(3) Operation:
(1) During operation, it is advisable to ensure that there are water droplets falling out of the packing during compression.
(2) Note that rubber bearings must not come into contact with oil.
(3) Pay attention to the temperature rise of the bearings in the transmission device and regularly replace the lubricating oil or grease in the bearings.
